About this Event
We will use a template to customize a step stool design that folds into a small chair. This class will teach assemblies and planning hinge placement in Solidworks. This is intended to be a wood project but can be modified for other materials.
1) A tour of assemblies and motion.
2) Designing for movement.
3) Adding customization features.
4) Preparing the output files.
Solidworks is a powerful design that is widely used for mechanical engineering and industrial design and you can use it to design a wide range of projects. Build your fundamental skills to be able to handle more complex projects.
Special Considerations and Warnings
To get the most benefit from the class, it is recommended to have Solidworks installed on your laptop. DMS members have access to the Student Edition of Solidworks. Contact me on talk @albertombravo for help.
