About this Event

We will learn how to knot in between beads or pearls using knotting tweezers, in the traditional method for pearls.

You will need freshwater pearls, glass pearls or glass beads with small holes; clasp of your choice; silk or nylon thread, probably size 4 if you find the carded thread with needle attached; clamshell knot covers.

Instructor will bring white silk thread and needles, sterling silver knot covers ($1 per pair), beading tweezers, glue for ends. Can also bring vintage graduated white glass beads already strung and ready to knot, $5 per strand.

You should be able to complete a bracelet length piece in the class time allotted. A necklace may take more practice.

Special Considerations and Warnings

If you have, please bring size 4 carded silk or nylon with needle, glass or freshwater pearls or glass beads with small holes, pointy tweezers with smooth tips, clamshell knot covers. If you don't have, instructor will have some available for sale (bring a few $)
