About this Event

In this class we will make a Fountain Pen using the Vertex magnetic cap kit and some stabilized Red Mallee burl. The process is similar to most pen kits as they have a brass center tube, and are turned on a mandrel using end bushings as size guides. The wood will be stabilized by the instructor prior to the class as Red Mallee burl wood has a tendency to crack and split. Additionally the instructor will bring some of his personal ink so you can have your first fill on him.

Class Time
• 2 hours scheduled, but may not take the entire time.
