Sketch book studies -- elements of art and design LINE and SHAPE
Line is the most basic element for artistic creation. It can be created as a mark that connects two dots and comes in all shapes, sizes, and is infinitely manipulable.
Shape is an element of art that is two dimensional, flat, or limited to height and width.
Come learn and explore the various line techniques using pencil, pen and marker in contour, blind contour and gestural studies.
Learn about different mediums and explore their application in keeping a sketchbook.
Challenge of 2 sketchbook entries a week to review and receive feedback by Print-a-thon.
Guidelines to keep a sketchbook for ideas and thumbnails to apply to printmaking projects.
Instructor will have sketchbook kits available to purchase to help their exploration of the elements of design.
