About this Event

We will use a knitting spool or knitting nancy and a crochet hook to make a knitted tube from 26 or 28 gauge wire. The tube can be used as a "chain" for a necklace or pendant. Crochet or knitting knowledge is not required.

We will discuss how to draw the tube down to a smaller size, and how to use 18 or 20 gauge wire to make ends and a clasp.

Instructor only has 4 knitting nannies for class use. Observers are welcome to watch. The technique, also called French knitting, can be used with fibers as well.

Special Considerations and Warnings

Please bring 26 or 28 gauge copper based wire. You can probably find this at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Motor winding wire may also work.
