About this Event

Welcome to the Open Source Alternative Energy Class series here at Dallas Makerspace!
Get detailed, open-source plans and estimated working output specifications for your own char fuel setup.
We will examine the gasifier system in detail then evaluate realistic production for various input materials.
We will look at the condensed / pressurized gasifier output, the safety of the burnable fuels, their typical distillates and some ways to capture other useable byproducts.

Free energy?!? Well, sorta (always some caveats)...

How? Come to the class -- we will cover several variations and what resources are available here at Dallas Makerspace to help you complete an open source alternative energy project like this.

No need for a physics degree, just bring an open mind and a desire to make it real.

The goal is to have fun while learning from real-life engineering projects you can build here at Dallas Makerspace.

Are you an idea person? The other benefit to attending these classes is you will get to see the engineering hurdles and other pieces of the technology puzzle specific to this energy problem.
We remove the mystery, verify what others claim, and only go with what we have tested ourselves...

Special Considerations and Warnings

We will be in and out of the machine shop, the science area, and the metal shop so closed-toe shoes and clothes you do not mind getting dirty are best.
