About this Event

In this How-To class you will learn how to make a quick curing cold mold for wax injecting jewelry pieces to be used in lost wax casting. These can be anything small from a bracelet link you may need to make many of, to a ring you would like to make multiple of for stacking as an example.

I will show you the steps needed in creating the mold, and then I will show you how to cut the mold open to retrieve the master item.

There will be a small class fee of $5 to cover the demonstration of material use in the class. If you wish to make a mold for yourself afterwards, the material costs for each mold will be $10 per mold to be paid to DMS Jewelry Committee.

Any small items or jewelry you want to make a mold of should be metal or Clear Resin from the Formlab resin Printer.

Special Considerations and Warnings

Wear clothing that you don't mind getting ruined by silicon if you want to make a mold after the class.

If the class is full and you still want to come, bring $5 cash for the donation box.
