About this Event

Through a discussion of laser-scanning, photogrammetry and CAD we will answer the question of 'how to get something from your head to the computer?'

This class will certify you in the use of the Next Engine laser scanner, however not very well. We will cover the basic functions of the machine and limited use cases. We will explore 3DF Zephyr, the only functional free to use photogrammetry software. We will discuss the benefits of CAD modeling but we will not be learning the operation of any CAD software.

This class is for 3d printing enthusiasts, aesthetic 3d modelers(game, video production, artists) and cad designers looking to find the best way to get a 3d model.

This is not a class for people who have no experience with 3d printers, stl or obj files, or meshes. In order for the class to move as a whole, students must have experience with at least one of these topics to be able to grasp the classes’ content.
