About this Event

In this class you will learn the basics for building and running a GPU based Cryptocurrency miner. The following topics will be covered:

* What is cryptocurrency mining? Why is it neccessary?
* GPU Overview and selection
* Building the PC and necessary accessories
* Mining Software
* How to create wallets for mining
* Mining Pools
* Power and Maintenance

While you will not be going home with a working miner at the end of the class, a working reference system (AMD Vega GPU) will be on display. If there is enough demand, future classes will be offered in specific areas.
