About this Event

You’ve figured out those tricky parts, centering and pulling, but your pieces still weigh a ton? Have a beautiful rim but a clunky, unshapely foot? We can help!

Trimming can be done on the wheel to reduce weight and further refine the shape of your greenware pottery before the first bisque firing. You can also use trimming techniques to make footed items and add surface decoration.

This is a beginner’s class for those that already know how to create basic items on the pottery wheel. A small leather-hard bowl will be provided to practice with but you are more than welcome to also bring some of your own pieces.

If you have any questions, please message me and I’ll be happy to help.

Special Considerations and Warnings

This class is for potters that know how to center and pull a wall. While beginners are absolutely welcome, you do need to already know how to create a piece on the wheel.
