About this Event

In this class you will learn how to make a multi-color print using one screen. You will leave the class with a 3-4 color print with an image size of 5" by 7". This size is perfect for handmade postcards or printing on Toddler sized t-shirts, but the principles will work on images of any size.

This class will teach:

- Basic color theory and how it applies to screen printing on paper and t-shirts.

- A discussion of screen issues and how to address them, such as emulsion, exposure times, screen reclamations.

- An understanding about registration and how it applies to the multi-color printing process.

- Additives for acrylic paint to expand your color palette for paper and fabric printing.

Prerequisites: Screen Printing - Making Screens is required (student should already own 1 screen), and the Screen Printing - Basics class is strongly encouraged.

The $5 materials fee covers supplies (paper, inks & screen resists) and will enable you to take home a set of your own hand printed postcards. Please pay in cash to the instructor at the start of class.

Special Considerations and Warnings

Please wear clothing that you can risk staining from the inks.
