About this Event
This will be an informal meeting and "homework time" you can come and ask questions and we can talk about the material in a non-structured environment.
This class will begin a series covering the first chapter of the classic text Art of Electronics. We will begin to cover Ohm's Law and what it really means, and in this class session we will have a discussion on where you want to take the class in terms of pace, depth, and willingness to do homework.
Daniel Hooper is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas, and has over 10 years of electronics design experience. He's no Horowitz or Hill, but he knows an Ohm from a Mho and can teach you how as well.
Special Considerations and Warnings
This class covers Art of Electronics 3rd Ed., so if you'd like to continue with it, you'll need to buy the book. It's ok to show up without it, but if you do have access to a copy, please skim the first few sections.
This class will deal with some of the math of electronics design. Though it may look complex, there is nothing beyond high school algebra. The class will cover this to the extent necessary.
