About this Event
The basic project for this course is a pauldron/spaulder. This is a cold metalworking course(no torches/forges). These skills can be applied to making airplanes, boats, refrigerators, cars...ect. These are basic skills used in all sheet metal shaping work. The course will involve using a leather beater bag and a large mallet as well as the English Wheel and the bead roller.
Note: The cost of this class goes to the cost of materials, you will get a 12" square piece to use.
Special Considerations and Warnings
A pair of safety glasses will be required, standard corrective glasses are fine if you already wear glasses normally. A pair of gloves is recommended but not required, sheet metal has sharp edges and will cut you if you aren't careful.
