About this Event

Ever see a two-sided caliper and not understand how to use it?
Well, this class will show you how to use this tool to make lids for your pottery pieces.
We'll go over how much room to leave for glazing and discuss how to trim your piece & add a knob to the top of your lid.
We will also go over the different types of lids your can make.
Then, we'll throw a lidded piece :)

If you do not know how to wedge, center, and throw a cylinder, I highly suggest this class is too advanced for you and will not be enjoyable, since I will not be spending one on one time to teach the basics because of time.
In addition, the class is listed for 3 hours, but if you finish before that time, you are free to leave whenever :)

Special Considerations and Warnings

please wear clothes you are ok with getting dirty
Be aware that the class may not be the whole 3 hours. If you finish early, you are free to leave.
