About this Event

Participants in this class will learn how to create a peacock chain from 20g copper wire. Once learned, this technique can be used to create other pieces such as necklaces and earrings.

The required, nonrefundable $15 materials fee for this class includes the 20 gauge copper wire as well as use of the instructor's tools and the Makerspace jewelry department equipment.

The chain making process involves the use of a butane torch. As such, it is essential that participants take the necessary precautions, including wearing close-fitting natural fiber clothing (cotton recommended) and closed toed shoes. Hair should also be secured out of the way.

All COIVD restrictions will be in place, including required use of masks, maintaining social distance, and frequent use of hand sanitizers.
