About this Event

This course will introduce students to the PolyPrinter 3D printers, and provide guidance on starting your first print.

Topics discussed:
- 3D Fab rules
- Finding existing STL files
- Slicing STL files (including slicer options)
- Familiarization with OctoPrint and its controls
- Preparing the printer (loading filament, purging the nozzle)
- Starting a print
- Common failures

Completion of this class will allow students unsupervised use of the Polyprinters.

Special Considerations and Warnings

Masks must be worn at all times, and cover both the mouth and nose.

Physical distancing will be practiced through the class.

This class may be recorded for development of training materials.
