About this Event
This intermediate throwing class will work in-depth on the principle of wheel throwing. We will study why potters throw the way they do, how to adjust and improve your own throwing habits, and lesson on throwing efficiently. Whether you have been throwing for a few months or years, after leaving this class you will go away with new skill and the confident to create your own masterpiece in clay.
-understand some of the common mistake of new student
-wedging and other preparation before you sit in front of the wheel
-importance of body position and form
-the key to centering small and large clay
-why a good opening can make or break your piece
-why a good pull requires confidence
-how water can help and hurt your throwing
-tools to help you shape your piece
-why throwing a strong cylinder is the foundation of wheel throwing

Not a beginner class. Have had experience on the wheel.
