About this Event

Introduction to the basic tools and best safety practices of the woodshop.

Students who complete the course will be certified for use on the miter saw, joiner, plainer, table saws, band saws, and compound sander. Students will get hands-on experience with each of the tools as they take a section of board down to a squared up piece of lumber.

Students should come with close toed shoes and a way to tie back any long hair, as well as remove rings, gloves, and other jewelery. Personal eye protection and masks required.

Wood will be provided.

I will not teach people in Gaiter masks. A study just came out and said they were actually worse than no masks because they reduced the size of droplets instead of soak them up. Not a political statement, I just live with a high risk person and need to be extremely careful.
