About this Event
Participants in this class will learn how to create peacock chain links from 20 gauge copper wire to assemble into a bracelet. Once learned, this technique can be used to create other pieces such as necklaces and earrings.
Materials/tools required for this class are 20 gauge copper wire, butane torch, round nose pliers, long chain nose pliers, awl, and a third hand. Some of these tools are available at the Space and we can share and pool resources, but if you have your own tools, please bring them. Participants are asked to bring their own wire (or let the instructor know if you will need to purchase some).
There is a $15 refundable deposit to register for the class. This fee will be refunded when you attend the class or if you cancel within the cancellation deadline. Participants not cancelling within the window or simply not showing up for class will result in a forfeiture of the fee. Registration approval is based on payment of the deposit. Please email the instructor at [email protected]
for instructions on paying the deposit.
Special Considerations and Warnings
We will be using butane torches for this class. Given this, you are asked to make sure to wear closed-toe shoes and natural fiber (e.g. cotton) clothing.
