About this Event

Bedan tools are a versatile alternative to the more commonly used Skew, Detail Gouge, and Parting tools.

A favorite of English and French turners for several hundred years I find myself using the Bedan more than most of my other spindle tools lately.

Pen turners and others doing small to medium diameter detail work will likely find this to be the only tool needed for both wood and resin turning.

*Bonus* - If this class has three or more participants I'll be giving away a 3/8"Bedan blank to the person that turns the nicest set of five beads at the end of the class.

I will also have some Bedan blanks available for purchase at the class for those interested.

Class cost - $10 cash or card at the time of the class.

Syllabus -
Lathe Safety Refresher
Bedan types and profiles
Sharpening a Bedan
When and how to use a Bedan.
