About this Event

We will be using craft wire and beads to make small spiders and scorpions.

Bring $5 to class if you would like to use the instructor's supplies. Please bring cash as I don't have a square.

Feel free to bring your own materials. We will be using wire cutters, round nose pliers, and chain nose pliers. Feel free to bring your own, or we can share the space's.

The larger of the scorpions requires 16 ft of 20 gauge wire. You can make them smaller out of any other smaller gauge, but when you get up to 18 gauge, they are a little tough to wrap. Walmart has multipacks of colored wire for $8, if you're feeling colorful. You can also bring a bead to add to the stinger, if you'd like.

The spiders need a head pin or eye pin for the body and 20ish inches of 22 gauge wire for the legs. You'll also need one large bead for the abdomen and a slightly smaller bead for the head, along with some coordinating seed beads and bugle beads [tubes] for the legs.

Special Considerations and Warnings

We will be working with wire cutters and pointy metal wires. You may want to wear eye protection.
