About this Event

PLEASE NOTE! This class WILL NOT count as the prerequisite to use the Dynatorch.
For that class, you need to take Dynatorch CNC Plasma Cutter.

This class is aimed at those who have taken the Dynatorch class and either haven't used it yet and need a jump start to get going, and who have used it but want to know a little more about the in and outs of Sheetcam and the Dynatorch software. If you haven't taken the Dynatorch CNC Plasma Cutter class, this one won't get you signed off on the Dynatorch.

Please read instructions below regarding the cost of the class, and paying through Eventbrite.

The first part of the class will be an refresher on using Sheetcam and Dynatorch software. The second part of the class will be hands-on for each student, who can choose from a few different items to cut. (Check out the pictures to see the options.) We'll talk about how to clean up the finished item, prepping it for powder coating or whatnot, and which tools in the metal shop are suitable for that. However, there won't be time to actually clean and finish the item. We'll use 10 guage (~ 1/8 ") mild stell, which I'll provide.

This class is limited to 4 seats so that each student can have as much hands-on as possible. If you find you can’t attend, you can cancel up to one day before the event and receive a full refund. If you don’t cancel and don’t show up for class, no refund is available.

The cost of the class is $23.00. After you register for this class, your status will be listed as Pending. After you to go to the Evenbrite link and pay for the class, I'll get an alert, and I'll change your status to confirmed.

Special Considerations and Warnings

Proper attire is required. This means natural fiber clothing, shoes made from natural fibers or leather. No open toed shoes. Impact resistant safety glasses have to be worn any time you're in the Metal Shop. Safety glasses will be available for loan during the class.
