About this Event

Ever want to learn how to make gorgeous stained glass windows?

Well you've got to start somewhere, and for only $50 you'll learn all the skills you need to master to make beautiful stained glass windows. $20 of each ticket sold will go to the GlassWorks Committee for supplies and equipment maintenance.

Come to class and learn how to make your very own stained glass sun catcher from an experienced stained glass artist who has been doing this for over 20 years.

This class is broken into 2 parts, please make sure you can attend both parts.

In part 1 you will learn how to:
-- identify the types of glass
-- choose a pattern or make your own
-- apply a pattern to the glass
-- cut and grind glass so that the pieces fit together nicely

In part 2 you will learn how to:
-- apply copper foil to the edges of your glass
-- solder the pieces together
-- add jump rings so that you can hang your suncatcher when you get it home
-- how to clean and polish the piece so that it sparkles in the light

Special Considerations and Warnings

You will be handling cut glass, please wear close toed shoes and bring a pair of safety glasses.
Small cuts are to be expected, bandaids will be available.
