About this Event

Blackout Poetry is a unique form of poetic expression. A writer does not create a work using their own words. The use of an existing text is used and words in the text are selected to represent a theme, thought, or perspective.

It can offer an opportunity to reveal yourself in ways you otherwise might not consider.

We will explore a variety of ways to create poetry using various books. It is always interesting to see how a page in a novel or a page from a piece of non-fiction allows for personal expression.

Books, pencils and markers will be provided. There is no cost for this workshop.
