About this Event

Two part beginners course on wheel throwing. For anyone wanting a hands on approach to throwing on the wheel. You will learn and work through all the stages of clay; from wet, leather-hard, green-ware, bisque-ware, and finally glaze product. At the end of the course you will bring home a one of a kind mug!

Syllabus:
- Tools of the Trade
- Introduction to the Potter's Wheel
- Understanding clay and wedging
- Centering, Opening, and Pulling Walls
- Throwing the perfect cylinder
