About this Event

We will make a penannular pin or fibula/bow brooch from brass or copper wire with *much* hammering and filing. You will need about 12 inches of 12, 10, or 8 gauge wire. Some wire will be available from instructor. Hearing protection is strongly recommended.

The same technique can be used to make a sewing needle from 2 inches of 18 gauge wire or a naalbinding needle from 3 inches of 12 or 14 gauge wire, if desired.

Special Considerations and Warnings

This requires a lot of hammering, and is noisy, hearing protection is strongly recommended. Please bring silver, copper or brass wire if you have it, or a few $ to get some from the instructor.
