Ceramic Coterie: A History of Human Civilization through Ancient Pottery and Modern Cuisine; Chinese Blue and White Porcelain

Purpose:

To foster a welcoming space for beginner and master ceramic artist passionate about foods and culture, a place to come together in the spirit of exchanging ideas, encourage learning, and promoting friendship.

Once a month we will study, build, and snack our way through the history of human civilization from Neolithic Chinese ceramic to Greek red-figure vase; from ancient Roman vessels, to Native American pot.

Each month, after studying and choosing a new era and theme, members will produce a ceramic piece inspired by that period. All attendees MUST bring a handmade piece from that era. You will have one month until the next gathering to research and produce a piece inspired by that previously chosen time period.
