About this Event
Learn to make your own distinctive clasps, earwires, headpins, jump rings and all the parts you need to finish off your jewelry pieces.
We will use mostly 18 or 20 gauge wire and do a lot of playing around with pliers. Maybe a little hammering. Instructor will provide copper wire ($1-2), or you may want to get some of the colored copper-based wires that are available from Michaels or Hobby Lobby.
If you want to include freshwater pearls on things, you will need 24 gauge wire.
You might want to bring a few beads for embellishing clasps or earwires.
Special Considerations and Warnings
Bring 18 and/or 20 gauge copper based wire (24 gauge if using with pearls) or a few dollars to use instructor's. May want a few beads for embellishing clasps, etc. Class is suitable for older children and teens, with parent.
