About this Event

I would like to share my experiences as a maker, educator, and scholar. I will share how I used neuro-cognitive models to guide the design of math manipulatives, the makerspace as a tool to improve the use of math manipulatives, and the classroom to test their design. I believe that there is an untapped potential for solutions that educators could device the maker community. I would like to propose a methodology to making better math tools.Participants will receive free math manipulatives that were redesigned with the student in mind.
