Once a month we will study, build, and snack our way through the history of human civilization from Neolithic Chinese ceramic to Greek red-figure vase; from ancient Roman vessels, to Native American pot.
Each month, after studying and choosing a new era and theme, members will produce a ceramic piece inspired by that period. All attendees MUST bring a handmade piece from that era. Monthly prize will be awarded for the piece that, 1) best embodies the spirit of that era through form and decorations; AND 2) best incorporate a personal element that evoke a story, feeling, and experience of the artist.

Amphora (pl. amphorae; from Greek amphi - on both sides, phero - carry) is a two-handled pot with a neck that is considerably narrower than the body was use in ancient time to transport and store food.
Please bring a Mediterranean dish or treat to share. We will have a brief discuss about our pieces follow by consuming an inordinate amount of food and drink served on handmade ceramic pieces.
