About this Event
We'll be taking the pen blanks made in Part 1 of the class and making a Rollester Rollerball Pen.
Topics to include:
Review of the tools
Discussion of sanding and finishing (vs. wood pens)
Hands on the lathe
Cost of this class covers the pen kit and finishing supplies.
The class is scheduled for 3 hours, but may not need the entire time.
Class approval is set to on for this part; if there are openings close to the event, I'll open up the spots; I just need to make sure the people who take part 1 have first dibs.
You will need to have taken Lathe Basics 101; if you have not - please sign up before this class or contact instructor (@jnorine on TALK).
Special Considerations and Warnings
Please bring a dust mask and personal eye protection (required - some on-site)/face shield (highly recommended - some on-site).
The Woodshop is often full of many types of wonderful and exotic dust. Exotic woods can sensitize you quickly and severe allergies can develop.
Instructor enjoys many things.
