About this Event

Who needs a mold? All you need is an orange, some fiber, a little water, and some energy and *Magic!* you can make a little felt bowl. If you have wanted to do some wet-felting but were nervous about starting a big project like slippers that might need to fit someone, this is the perfect way to begin learning. The technique is pretty much the same for larger, more complicated items, but this will only take about one hour and at the end you will be able to have a snack (no oranges will be harmed in the making of the bowl).

This might also interest you if you have tried needle-felting and stabbed your fingers more often than you project. This is a no-blood project.

What you will need to bring:
$3.00 for the consumables (that pretty fiber costs money)
1/2 oz of your own wool roving or batt

an orange (NOT an apple. Apples will not work)
Plastic baggy that seals tightly and will fit the orange with a little room to spare
several towels to keep the water off of you and everyone else
a small container to hold some water

What we will provide
The pretty fiber (this is what the $3.00 pays for)
trays to contain everything

If anyone wants to bring supplies for Mimosas we can have a party afterward!!

This will be something of a preview of larger projects we will be able to do once we get into our larger space that has water available.
